Hypothesis
Harsh male initiation ceremonies will be associated with more polygyny
Note
Harsh rituals were found to be "significantly more likely to occur in the initiation ceremonies of societies where general polygyny delays the entry of physically mature males into social adulthood(12)." Initiation ceremonies with genital operations we also found to be significantly associated with general polygyny.
