Hypothesis
Consanguinity (marriage and subsequent mating between second cousins or closer relatives) is negatively correlated with level of democracy.
Note
Two tests were run, one testing the consanguinity variable against level of democracy using the Polity IV democracy scale, and a second using the EIU Index. The first r and p values listed below correspond to the Polity IV test and the second values to the EIU Index test.
