Hypothesis
Competition for resources is positively correlated with type of land tenure system.
Note
Competition included: population density (numeric), population density (ordinal), total area occupied, population density, intensity of warfare. They are reported in this order below. While the overall competition variable was not significant, the population density variables were all significant as seen below.
Test Name | Support | Significance | Coefficient | Tail |
---|---|---|---|---|
Spearman rank correlation | Not Supported | p < 0.01; p < 0.01; p = 0.32; p < 0.01; p = .94 | Spearman's rho = .50; rho = .48; rho = -0.19; rho = 0.50; rho = 0.02 | UNKNOWN |
Variable Name | Variable Type | OCM Term(s) |
---|---|---|
Population Density | Independent | Population |
Land tenure system | Dependent | Real Property |
Total area occupied | Independent | Location |
Intensity of warfare | Independent | External Relations, Warfare |
