Individual achieved versus ascribed status will be negatively associated with Population Growth Rate (PGR) (58).

Individual achieved versus ascribed status is measured as a composite of seven different variables including Possibility for Wealth Accumulation, Lack of Social Qualifications for Accumulation, Lack of Family Qualifications for Accumulation, Occupational Status Achievability, Availability of Power, Lack of Social Qualifications for Power, and Lack of Family Qualifications for Power.
