Hypothesis
Fraternal interest group strength is positively associated with patrilocal and avunculocal residence patterns (76).
Note
Fraternal interest group strength is an index of fraternal interest group size, descent ideology which enforces loyalty, and ability to contract explicit marriage bargains, which are all highly intercorrelated. Patrilocal and avunculocal residence are dichotomized against amatrilocal, ambilocal, and neolocal residence patterns which disperse kinsmen.
