Hypothesis

"As pathogen severity increases, so should permanenent marking of body areas that are attended to for evaluating attractiveness and mate quality" (403).

Note

Female stomach scarification was the only type of scarification significantly related to pathogen prevalence independent of other environmental variables (p<.05).
