An explanation for primitive warfare: population control and the significance of primitive sex ratios

Hypothesis
Adult sex ratios will be correlated with the presence/absence of warfare
Note
Q= plus .879, phi= plus .542, Chi-square=33.67 . Divale argues that "the reversal or leveling out of the sex ratios in the adult age groups is due to male deaths in warfare", and subsequently, warfare has the "evolutionary function of limiting over-population (p.175). "
