Hypothesis

Matriliny/matrilocality is associated with the absence of exogamy.

Note

The first p value given is the significance of the association between the trait and matriliny using the SCCS, and the second is using the supertree. The third p value given is the significance between the trait and matrilocality using the SCCS, and the fourth is using the supertree. Correlated evolution shows that matrilineal descent is stable in combination with matrilineal exogamous groups but not patrilineal exogamous groups.
