Emotion semantics show both cultural variation and universal structure

Hypothesis
Certain psychological dimensions (valence, activation, dominance, certainty, approach-avoidance, and sociality) are positively correlated with emotion semantics (1519).
Note
No significance values were presented, however the results revealed higher predictive power for valence and activation than for other dimensions. Valence was the most predictive for the all-family network and for 13/19 language families, with activation being the most predictive for the remaining 6 families. See figure 4 on page 1520 for further details.
