By Davis, Lewis

Hypothesis

As individual responsibility increases, the economic development of a country will increase.

Note

Hypothesis tested with two stage least square regression: stage 1 finds a negative correlation between rainfall variation and individual responsibility (p<.01). Stage 2 then finds a positive relationship with individual responsibility and economic development (p<.01). Hypothesis was also tested using historical rainfall data from before 1900 and was supported (stage 1: p<0.05; stage 2: p<0.01).
