Hypothesis
Type of subsistence will predict the degree to which entomophagy is practiced.
Note
The authors examine the prevalence of entomophagy across seven differing subsistence types (horticulturalists, hunter-gatherers, other combinations, intensive agriculturalists, agropastoralists, pastoralists, and commercial economy) and found that entomophagy is most common in horticulturalist societies, and least common in societies with commercial economies.
