Hypothesis

There are specific cultural methods for the removal of pubic hair.

Note

Quantitative testing was not conducted. In the 26 societies that practiced pubic hair removal, plucking was the most common method followed by shaving. Men plucked in 8 societies and shaved in 3, while women plucked in 11 and shaved in 7. 5 societies did not specify removal methods.
